The Interdisciplinary Centre for Mountain Research (CIRM) offers a position of First Assistant (Post-doc) on Mountain Socio-Ecological Systems. Deadline to apply is 31 July, 2020.
The University of Lausanne (UNIL) is a higher teaching and research institution composed of seven faculties where nearly 15,500 students and 5,000 employees. Ideally situated along the lake of Geneva, near Lausanne’s city center, its campus brings together over 120 nationalities. The CIRM brings together more than 80 researchers working on mountain topics by combining the social and the natural sciences.
The candidate will conduct personal research on mountain socio-ecological systems. By mountain socio-ecological systems we mean any system at the interface between society and nature in mountain regions. The research project should be interdisciplinary (combining natural sciences and human/social sciences) and transdisciplinary (in relation with actors from the two privileged CIRM territories .
