The following position is available at the Professorship of Ecological Services (PES), University of Bayreuth: Post-Doc position (100 % A13Z) for 3+3 years or PhD position (50 % A13Z) for 3 years to conduct research on land use change and its impact on ecosystem services. We are looking for candidates to develop spatial models of land use and ecosystem services in regional human-environment systems. This research should consider global trade flows and subsequent leakage of ecosystem service improvements. The position starting earliest March 1, 2018 is initially offered for 3 years and after successful evaluation for another 3 years. It opens the opportunity to develop an own research and teaching profile (including dissertation or habilitation at the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geosciences, University of Bayreuth) while working in a team. Supervision of Master/PhD students and development of new research proposals is expected. Successful candidates can participate in externally funded projects. The teaching load is 5 hours per week for 100% position in the M.Sc. Global Change Ecology and the MSc Geoökologie at the University Bayreuth.
