ESP Steering Committee: Call for Nominations OPEN
The Ecosystem Services Partnership is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic people to join the Steering Committee and contribute their time and skills to the ESP’s mission.
The call for proposals for Steering Committee candidates is open until 15 November 2018. Any ESP member in ‘good standing’ is eligible for this position. We would like to encourage nominations of especially active and dynamic candidates, coming from all regions, and with different scientific backgrounds. We also encourage nominations for women or young people.

Ecosystem Services community responds to recent Nature articles
Members of the ecosystem services community have responded to the recently published article and editorial in Nature. Even though the article painted the situation within the community as hostile and divided, the responses which followed have clearly illustrated that this is not the case.
Nature published several response letters, whose sentiment was along the same lines: despite different opinions and views on some matters, we have one common goal – to highlight the importance of biodiversity to human well-being. PhD position at working group ‘Governence of Ecosystem Services’, ZALF
The interdisciplinary working group ‘Governance of ecosystem services’ with the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) offers a new PhD position to fill for the topic ‘analysis of collborative agri-environmental programs’ taking the Netherlands as an example.
