The Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society received its first journal ranking from the Scimago Journal & Country Rank (SJR) where scientific indicators are developed from the information contained in the Scopus database. According to current SJR ranking JBGS enters Q3 and Q4 in four subject categories where indexed: Geography, Planning and Development; Earth and Planetary sciences (miscellaneous); Ecological Modelling; and Nature and Landscape Conservation. Journal of the Bulgarian Geographical Society is an international scientific journal dedicated to all fields of geography and interrelated fields of earth, ecological, social, economic and geoinformation sciences. The JBGS journal is closely linked to ESP through several ESP and Young ES Specialists (YESS) members from Bulgaria, Germany, and Netherlands, who serve on its editorial team with their expertise in landscape ecology, ecosystem services, spatial analysis, and modelling.
