The ES Training Workshop “Valuing and Capturing the Benefits of Ecosystem Restoration” took place on 3 September in Seoul. This training was jointly organized by National Institute of Ecology and ESP Asia RO. Dr. Rudolf de Groot, the chair of ESP led this workshop and gave a special lecture about the ecosystem conservation and restoration. About 40 people including ES researchers and policy-makers participated to learn not only the benefits of ecosystem service restoration but also the guidance of ES assessment. ESP Asia RO plans to develop the ES training module for government officials whose work is related to implementation of ES policies.
