Ecosystem management in Balkhash Lake basin as a model of SDG localization in Kazakhstan and Central Asia region

was offered as a model of problems transformation into opportunities.
In this paper, dr. Yessekin offers the case for an ecosystem approach to solving the water deficit problem in the area and planning for a sustainable future, including biophysical, economic and social aspects.
