This year’s BEES Market will take place on 20 December 2019 in Brussels, at INBO headquarters. The Market will be co-organised with the Belgian IPBES National Focal Point. A series of workshops will take place and linkages will be made with the IPBES Global Assessments.

The BEES market is the single event gathering research and practice on the topic of ‘ecosystems and society’ on a Belgian scale. Provide early input to the scoping process of the IPBES nexus and transformative change assessments: Online conferences

As part of the scoping processes for the thematic assessment of the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health (“nexus assessment”) and the thematic assessment of the underlying causes of biodiversity loss, determinants of transformative change and options for achieving the 2050 vision for biodiversity (“transformative change assessment”) of  IPBES, two online conferences will be held. They are tentatively scheduled as follows:

  • 30 September – 2 October 2019: Online conference to seek input for the scoping process for the nexus assessment
  • 9 – 11 October 2019: Online conference to seek input for the scoping process for the transformative change assessment
