Landscape Ecology Summer School Series funded by VW Foundation
The VW-summer school series intends to train participants on the knowledge and skills of how landscape ecology can contribute to improving the status of achieving the SDGs and the AU Agenda 2063 objectives. The first summers school in 2021 will relatively be more generic focusing on conceptual issues of landscape ecology and its nexus with SDGs and the overall development agenda in Africa. Special Issue on Urban transitions towards Nature-based Solutions in Urban Forestry & Urban Greening
The call for contributions for this Special Issue is currently open. The aim of the Issue is to gather a collection of papers that present contemporary knowledge and conceptual development of NBS in urban areas as well as practical experiences, including co-creation processes in solving urban problems and enhancing ecosystem services through NBS, and promote green infrastructure as a basis for NBS. The deadline for manuscript submissions is 15 December 2020. We encourage you to contribute to the Issue, as well as to take part in NBS for Cities Symposium at SURE2020/21 Conference in Poznań, Poland!

MOOC: Introduction to the Natural Capital Project Approach
The Natural Captial Project at Stanford University recently released a new Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), Introduction to the Natural Capital Project Approach. The MOOC is divided into four modules exploring NatCap’s approach to using ecosystem service information to inform decisions. The course uses specific examples to illustrate how the approach has worked in each case and highlights key methods and tools used in the implementation.
