The Natural Capital Checker (NatCap Checker) provides practitioners with a self-assessment tool that enables them to assess, communicate and improve the level of confidence in their natural capital assessments. The Checker helps organizations to evaluate how credible and fit for purpose their assessments are, and therefore the level of confidence that stakeholders can place in the process, results, and ultimately the decisions taken based on a natural capital assessment. Successful training course on ecosystem services and green infrastructure in Malta
Dr Mario Balzán, a member of the ESP Mediterranean working group, recently led a training course on ecosystem services and green infrastructure in Malta. The training course is framed within the EU-funded ReNature project, that aims to establish and implement a nature-based solutions research strategy for Malta with a vision to promote research and innovation and develop solutions in pursuit of economic growth, whilst at the same time improving human well-being and tackling environmental challenges. Updates from the Brazilian national network
The members of the Brazil national network have several announcement from the past month, including a new publication, the firt seminar on waterhed management, and the finalisation of the TEEB Regional-Local project on ES and biodiversity.
