Building the investment case for business-driven landscape restoration
In this recent publication Rudolf de Groot, Associate Professor, Environmental Systems Analysis (ESA-WUR) and Chair Ecosystem Services Partnership, and Simon Moolenaar (PhD) Head of Science & Education at Commonland lay out the case for business-driven landscape restoration and introduce the “Guidelines for Integrated Assessment to value and capture the benefits of landscape restoration, nature conservation and sustainable ecosystem management”.

ES conference: Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystem Services
The ES conference „Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystem Services: Challenges in a global environmental context“ will take place on 1-3 July 2020 in Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius. The conference is organized within the frame of the LINESAM project.
Conference organizers plan to publish a special issue in a high ranked (Q1) scientific journal. The conference is free of charge, however, the number of places is limited.

The call for nominations of experts to prepare the scoping document of the IPBES “Assessment of Transformative Change” and the “Thematic Assessment of the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health (nexus assessment)” are now open! Interested experts wishing to be nominated are requested to fill out their application form by 15 October 2019 while nominators (governments or organizations) should approve these applications and submit their nominations by 29 October 2019.
