Call for ES valuation studies
Do you have a study on ecosystem service(s) valuation? Or did you participate in a project in which economic valuation was conducted? Then you can be part of our initiative and help us bring the information where it is needed!
The Ecosystem Services Valuation Database (ESVD) was initially developed as part of the The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity (TEEB) initiative. It aimed to capture a broad global representation of the valuation evidence across all biomes and ecosystem services. The ESVD is now hosted by the Ecosystem Services Partnership and is one of the largest available database of valuation estimates.
Recognising the usefulness of information on ecosystem service values to decision making and the need for more comprehensive and up-to-date data, ESP is currently in the process of updating and upgrading the existing database. This will be a long-term, on-going process and we will keep collecting monetary estimates indefinitely. In addition, we are planning to create a user friendly digital interface through which users will be able to view, submit and collect valuation data. [Read more…] about Call for ES valuation studies
