An interdisciplinary research team from Argentina, Finland, Romania and the USA invite you to participate in a survey to better understand expert’s views about nature’s multiple values. Below a message from the research team:
We are seeking to understand expert’s views about nature’s multiple values, and specifically how experts involved in the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) compare to other professionals involved in similar efforts and networks, such as the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) and the EcolEcon Network. Results of this investigation will be published in open access peer-reviewed outlets and shared with initiatives integrating diverse knowledges of nature into decision-making. Call for contributions: ‘Economic Aspects of Nature Restoration’ international experts workshop
Call for Contributions is open for the International Expert Workshop on „Economic Aspects of Nature Restoration“, organized by the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN).
The workshop will take place on 13-16 October 2021 at the International Academy for Nature Conservation (INA) on the island of Vilm, Germany. The event will provide a platform for exchange between experts from science, administration and civil society on (socio-)economic issues of restoration of degraded ecosystems. Hereby we would like to call for the submission of abstracts. The deadline for submission is 28 May 2021 (18.00 CET).

Post-doctoral fellowship on coastal ecosystem services in Canada
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and integratively minded quantitative geographer or interdisciplinary scientist to join a rich and diverse applied research network, NSERC ResNet. Applications deadline is 30 June 2021.
ResNet’s primary research team of is currently involved in explorations of services in dykelands and wetlands such as pollination, carbon sequestration, wave attenuation, salt-water intrusion, food provision and cultural services. This post-doctoral fellow (PDF) will sit at the centre of the Bay of Fundy landscape team and be a primary liaison with the three overarching ResNet themes (governance, modelling and monitoring) and synthesis teams.
