The network of Justice and Environment has been operating for around 20 years with the mission to improve EU environmental laws and their implementation for the benefit of the environment and people across Europe. While their two decades of work resulted in many policy outputs and successes, systematic organizational screening of their impact has not yet been carried out (similarly to most organizations – mostly due to the complexity of the task). The University of Granada, Spain seeks a post-doctoral research associate for a newly funded, LifeWatch ERIC Research project “Thematic Center on Mountain Ecosystem & Remote sensing, Deep learning-AI e-Services University of Granada-Sierra Nevada”.
Centered in the Mountain region of Andalucia (Southern Spain), this exciting and interdisciplinary project brings together conservation biologists, ecologists, local peoples, social scientists, land managers, and IT engineers to co-design incorporate all existing sources of information (including scientific outputs and technical data) on biodiversity and global change in Sierra Nevada, through a long-term physical and virtual European e-infrastructure for research and monitoring that allows to optimize adaptive conservation and ecosystems service supply of mountain ecosystems.
