About the Opportunity
The proposed project will aim to assess the value of ES from native forests for the Indigenous peoples in East Arnhem Land, NT. The project will evaluate the benefits of forestry-related economic opportunities including job creation, the opportunity to work and learn on-country, enhanced well-being, etc. Estimating the value of Indigenous provenance timber and non-timber products and other ES will help to establish an emerging Indigenous forestry market sector, in line with the National Indigenous Forestry Strategy (2005).
