ESP Asia Regional Office in collaboration with the Gyeonggi Provincial Government, organized the first DMZ International Forum on Applying Ecosystem Services for Transboundary Nature Management on 13-15 of June. The theme of the forum was “Connecting People and Nature for Peace”, while the event took place in the DMZ Eco-tourism Support Center in Paju-si.

A new study on ecosystem sustainability management available online
A new study with topic Sustainability Whack-a-mole is available online now. It looks at how ecosystem assessments often overlook “distant, diffuse and delayed” impacts. One example is how improved regulations of Chinese and European forests have led to deforestation in the tropics due to increased Chinese and European biomass imports. Call for experts EKLIPSE on Common Agricultural Policy (CAP)
EKLIPSE is inviting experts to join an expert working group to develop recommendations for Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) measures to improve biodiversity and related ecosystem services, with a focus on Ecological Focus Areas–this is a direct policy request from IUCN and the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
