Postdoctoral Researcher in forest ecosystem services and biodiversity
The Department of Biological and Environmental Science at the University of Jyväskylä is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic member to their research group. Candidates should have a PhD or be about to obtain a PhD in landscape ecology, forestry, or another relevant discipline. Expertise in forest planning and understanding of forest growth models is necessary, including the ability to work with large data sets. Experience in forest simulation modelling and/or multi-objective optimization is considered an asset.

Call for requests, input and suggestions for the next work programme of IPBES
IPBES is currently in the process of developing its next work programme, following the process set out in decision IPBES-6/2 (see here).
This is a reminder that IPBES members, observers, multilateral environmental agreements, United Nations bodies and relevant stakeholders as well as experts on, and holders of, indigenous and local knowledge are invited to provide requests, inputs and suggestions, respectively, on short term priorities and longer term strategic needs for the future work programme of IPBES by 30 September 2018 (please find the call issued on 11 July 2018, with link to template for response here).
