Collaboration calls

The second external review of the thematic assessment of the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health (nexus assessment) is open from 20 November 2023 to 14 January 2024 (8 weeks).

The second external review, which focuses on the second draft of the chapters and the first draft of the summary for policymakers of the assessment, is one of the most important phases in the IPBES assessment process. The BIOTRAILS Learning Platform has been developed as part of the BIOTRAILS Horizon Europe project which explores pathways towards transformative change for biodiversity. The learning platform acts as an online community and social learning space aiming to help support the fruitful collaboration and learning on challenges and opportunities for transformative change and the climate-biodiversity-society nexus within four value chains (for cocoa, aquaculture, gold and handicrafts) and beyond, through the project’s “Learning and Action Alliances” or LAAs. Are you passionate about your work to integrate biodiversity and lessons from nature into all layers of society? Do you have a project using nature to change your living environment? Or are you using biodiversity and ecosystem indicators in your business process? Let us know! We are looking for initiatives that challenge the status quo. E.g. by altering decision-making processes in the public or private sector, changing market dynamics or conditions, redefining our understanding of human-nature interactions.
