WHERE SCIENCE, PRACTICE & POLICY MEET
SER2019 connects researchers, practitioners, policymakers, industry professionals, and students with backgrounds in natural and social sciences, environmental engineering, urban and regional planning, natural resource management, public policy, and more. Conference sessions will foster knowledge sharing and debate around big-picture issues and trends, as well as specific tools, techniques, challenges, and strategies for ecological restoration around the world.
Check out the official conference web page for registrations and all relevant info.
The SER2019 Organizing Committee is now inviting proposals!
The Society invites you to contribute your knowledge and experience to the conference program, whether in the realm of research, practice or policy, by organizing a session or offering a training course. Details about the submission process can be found here.
Proposals can address any aspect of ecological restoration, but submissions relating to the conference theme: “Restoring Land, Water & Community Resilience” are especially encouraged. The theme highlights the holistic, landscape-level view that is crucial to solving the restoration challenges we face, and reminds us of the inextricable link between the ecosystems we restore and the human communities that depend upon them. South Africa provides ample opportunity to see and hear inspiring stories of restoration combining outcomes for land, water, and community development simultaneously, and we are excited to showcase these for the world.
