In collaboration with ESP Asia Regional Office, National Institute of Ecology(NIE) Korea published a quick guide for policy makers who are interested in implementing ecosystem services approaches for nature conservation.
This guide provides key points of ES concepts, presents policy cases with practical examples and encourages public officers to further develop ES strategies to maintain ecosystem benefits our nature delivers. It is also a helpful starting point to develop your own regional guide to formulate ES approaches and to engage more people in developing nature-based solutions.
In partnership with National Institute of Ecology, ESP Asia Office has developed ES training programs for policy makers and school teachers since 2018 and this guide is one of the outcomes of collaborative efforts to support local policy development and public participation in conservation practices.
