Prifysgol Bangor University invites application for the position of Teaching & Scholarship Lecturer in Conservation Science. The position is a full time, 5 year strategic appointment in the School of Environment, Natural Resources and Geography.
The successful candidate will be a motivated Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) who will contribute to the teaching of conservation and related subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.The successful candidate will join an active and enthusiastic group of conservation scientists and will have the opportunity to undertake teaching in classroom and field settings. The candidate will also join a dynamic team passionate about quality teaching and pastoral support and will be involved in the development of conservation teaching and scholarship within the school and college.
Applicants should have a track-record of teaching at undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels and have a PhD in conservation or other relevant area of the natural or social sciences. To match their vision for the development of conservation science in the school Bangor University would particularly welcome candidates working in the areas of: conservation ecology, ecosystem services, forest conservation, conservation and human well-being, conservation conflict, conservation policy, or conservation evidence. The successful candidate will be expected to complement and enhance our existing areas of expertise and develop projects for postgraduate and undergraduate research.
