E&SEFT Project: “Ecosystem & Socio-Ecosystem Functional Types: integrating biophysical and social functions to characterize and map the ecosystems of the Anthropocene”. Please, feel free to click on the link to know about project goals, scientists involved, and other partners.
The E&SEFT Project is led by the University of Granada (Spain) and aims to develop a new approach for characterizing and mapping social-ecological systems using functional characteristics and attributes.
Firstly, the project aims to identify the key processes that define the functioning of social-ecological systems, both from the ecological and social dimension. To do so, they are working on creating a list of the Essential Social-Ecological Functional Variables (ESEFVs).
The project, therefore, considers it paramount to consider the opinions of the scientific community in order to build up a consensus on this specific goal. The project considers indispensable making an agreed list by inviting the participation of scientists and researchers with diverse expertises on Social-Ecological Systems science. Hence the E&SEFT Project extends an invitation to take part in this project and you can share your opinion by taking very few minutes to complete this online survey. Your contribution will be highly appreciated
Online survey: Essential Variables to describe the functioning of social-ecological systems
This survey is completely confidential and anonymous. The invitation is also extended to be involved and participate in derived results such as publications, meetings, etc. Feel free to contact E&SEFT Project if this is your desire.
Thank you very much for your time and participation.
P.S.: Please, do not hesitate to distribute the above to other colleagues that may be interested.
