The research group on natural capital at the University of Salamanca (Spain) is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher in the area of economic valuation of ecosystem services and natural capital. The successful candidate will assist the research group to perform primary and benefit transfer analysis, author research papers, coordinate research activities, take part in grant proposal writing and monitoring, engage in outreach activities, and present research results at conferences, in economic valuation of marine ecosystem services.

Requirements
PhD degree in Environmental Economics, Ecological Economics, Economics, Environmental Science, Ecology, Marine Sciences, Oceanography, or related fields.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Strong motivation, work ethics and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
A PhD degree in Environmental Economics or Ecological Economics is preferred. Candidates holding a PhD degree in Economics with orientation to valuation, or Environmental Science / Ecology / Marine Sciences / Oceanography will also be considered.
Authorship in peer-reviewed articles.
Research experience in GIS programming and data processing.
Position
The position is presential at Salamanca, from January 2024 (or earlier) until September 2026, conditional on satisfactory performance after one year. Salary commensurate with experience.
