Brazilian headways to celebrate World Soil Day!
- The technological platform of the National Soil Survey and Interpretation Program in Brazil (PronaSolos) is available to society! It brings together through a geographic information system (SigWeb), maps and soil data produced along the past 60 years by the Geological Survey of Brazil (CPRM), Embrapa and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), state and regional bodies and universities. - The BioAS technology involves the calculation of Soil Quality Indexes (IQS), calculated based on the chemical and biological properties together (IQSFertbio) and separately (IQSBio and IQSQuim) and can be a great ally to support the sustainable development of agriculture. Read more.
- Brazilian researchers contributed to the FAO’s report “State of knowledge of soil biodiversity – Status, challenges and potentialities”. You can download the publication here.
