The “São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Scenarios and Modelling on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services to Support Human Well-Being” will be held in São Pedro (190 km from São Paulo) from 01 – 15 July 2019. Applications are open until February 28th.
Rather than advancing scientific and methodological development, this School proposes to favor the interface between policy and decision making, so there will be an emphasis on the discussion of real cases. The school is organized into four modules that involve conceptual discussions, challenges, analysis of global studies and national goals in the field of biodiversity and ecosystem services. Eligibility: Ph.D. Students and early career (those who have gotten her/his Ph.D. from 2017 onwards).
The São Paulo School of Advanced Science is sponsored by Fapesp (São Paulo Research Foundation) and has the support from the Brazilian Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (BPBES). Costs related to the course, accommodation, meals, and transfer (S. Paulo-S. Pedro) will be covered by the School.
